Pokémon GO - Niantic hints at trainers battles In Pokémon GO on iPhone and Android

While the latest Pokémon GO update for iPhone, iPad and Android has been made available, Niantic Labs, through its CEO John Hanke, gave us a foretaste of the next new and exciting features of the application: the possibility to play against other players. A lot of players have been longing to have trainer battle which is sadly impossible considering the application only allows for exploration and evolution. When will all the trainers of the world be able to fight against one another ? Here is what John Hanke said in an interview reported by TechCrunch:

 

I have a 10 year old son – he's my Pokémon expert, we play together – he wants to battle his friends in Pokémon Go. Battling is something we talk a lot about. It's probably something that will make its way onto our roadmap.

 

In a few months, it will be possible to have our Pokémon battle against our friends’ in Pokémon GO, via an update. Finally John Hanke adds that he wants to increase interactions between players, in order to reinforce the interest and the complexity of the application that has lost its momentum ever since kids went back to school.
