Die Young - The Survival-Horror you have to know about
On playerone.tv , we like all styles of videogames but we have a fondness for Survival-Horrors. While the year 2017 already promises to be scary with RE 7, Agony or even Outlast 2, please find in this article another one that dully deserves your attention: Die Young. Out next year on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, Die Young unveiled its synopsis, graphics and gameplay. More below!
Die Young : Walk or Die
At the beginning of the campaign, Die Young will be more of an exploration-based game. You will play as a young woman who is still nameless, but we know that she suddenly finds herself in trapped on an island off the Mediterranean coast, kidnapped by someone she does not know. The threat is both in the inhabitants of the island who want to kill you and in the nature which simply will not let you escape. The goal of the game is thus pretty easy to figure out: you will have to run away from the enemy by finding a way to leave this island.
The developpers have also announced that water will be vital to survive, as well as a lot of other things that will make your life much easier on the island. You will be able to run, jump and climb, as well as hide, and explore the island in order to know its secrets.
Death is beautiful with the Unreal Engine 4
Apart from this significant contradiction between the awful destiny of this woman and the apparent splendour of the island, Die Young finds its visual charm through the Unreal Engine 4 which seems to be very well exploited, as far as vegetation and buildings are concerned. However, the characters did not benefit from the same care, as they seem to us to have a bit of a “plastic” feeling, as you can see in the video below. For a small-budget game, the graphics are nothing short of agreeable, and the final result will be hopefully as good on console as it is on PC.
