PS4 Pro - The advantages of PS5 without the disadvantages according to Sony
If you’ve already read our article entitled “ Should you buy the PS4 Pro, PS4 slim or the classic PS4”, you already know that Sony’s strategies is rather straight-forward, and that the Japanese brand wants to align with the economic model of our dear PC, with its advantages and disadvantages. Is the PS5 consequently ruled out from Sony’s book ? Mark Cerny ( PS4 and PS4 Pro architect) told during an interview with PlayStation Blog that the release of a more powerful PS4 pro presents the advantages of the PS5 without suffering from the disadvantages of launching a new console.
Indeed, while one must start all over when a new console is launched, Mark Cerny is pleased to bring the PS4 to a whole new level with the PS4 pro, without suffering from the repercussions that could have divided the community had a PS5 be launched. According to him, this new PS4 does not represent the new generation of console but will make a point of making the transition easier. Sony knows that the number of TV and HDR has yet to rise but Mark Cerny revealed that Sony wanted to enter the 4K market that represents the future of videogaming. Finally, the architect is happy to provide players an better and more graphically beautiful experience with the PS4 Pro, that will constitute a bridge between the PS4 and the PS5.
