Some may have already enjoyed the season passed for Battlefield 1 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One but it’s no reason for EA and DICE to rest on their laurels. In fact, they have already thought about the less wealthy players who can’t or won’t spend an unnecessary amount of money for add-on content. Battlefield 1 editor announced today via a post on its official website that an update improving balance as well as other features will be unveiled soon.

New Giant’s Shadow map for battlefield 1

Prepare to take part in the Battle of the Selle in the cold autumn of 1918. Here, the fighting moves out of the trenches and into open country where a massive crashed airship casts its shadow onto the battlefield. The British forces have broken through the Hindenburg line and are now in pursuit towards an important railway center. Fierce infantry and tank engagements ensue on the open ground and river banks alongside the Cateu-Wassigny railway where an armored train can still turn the tide. Giant's Shadow will be coming to Battlefield 1 as part of a free update in December.

Hardcore servers underway

We know that elite Battlefield 1 players have been eagerly awaiting fighting on Hardcore Servers, and we’re just as excited as you are. They’re coming soon, so keep an eye out for more news in the near future.

Tweakings on the Suez Map

Based on your input, we are changing the layout of the Suez map in Conquest to make the matches more balanced and the map size more fitting. We have expanded the layout to feature five instead of three flags. We’re also reducing the capture area size of the two control points located within the map’s villages (currently flag A and C) to create more dynamic matches. Furthermore, we’re adding one armored vehicle to each team’s base to give dominated teams a better chance to quickly get across the map and capture a control point behind enemy lines.
